Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of α-MSH that binds to melanocortin receptors. Its primary effect is increased melanin production — a pigmentation boost that darkens skin with sun exposure, extending tan depth and duration. Secondary effects include suppressed appetite and pronounced libido increase (the same MC receptors are tied to arousal pathways).
Typical protocol: 250–500mcg sub-q daily during a two-week loading phase, then 1mg twice weekly as maintenance. Expect nausea on the first few doses — dose before bed and taper up. Moles and existing marks darken too, so full-body skin check beforehand.
